DIY: Tribal Shorts

Thanks to my friend, she has kindly lend me her Calvin Klein shorts to try out this DIY. I covered part of the front with skull studs. Then with a black sharpie pen did some designs on the pocket. For the back I covered one back pocket with African tribal cotton fabric using the same method that I use for the denim pattern yoke DIY a while back. To add a more distress look I frayed the other pocket with sharp pick and sand paper. Careful there will be a lot of fluff! Check this link for an easy way to frayed denim. Then I cut a big enough size of the same cotton material to cover the ripped patch. Glue the material on the inner lining of the pocket with fabric glue. The patten will show through and you still have a working pocket also.

  1. I love your shorts! When washing them, did the drawn aztec print come off?
